ps2 had LARGE numbers obv...but a lot of that was either multiple consoles (after first 1-4 broke) and they got the CASUAL gamers last gen

this gen, the casual gamers are going to the wii, so sony loses that branding with those gamers, as they see crying babies on sony commercials and families having fun on wii commercials

sony made a machine for, and is marketing to, hardcore gamers

the # of hardcore gamers just isn't as big as many of u would like to think

I don't know why everybody saying that the PS3 sales are so low, I don't think they are that low.

they could.....yes

but the news from Japan, at least going by 1up podcast suggests the game itself is flawed & the game engine falls apart....

So if mediocre reviews follow...who knows

we'll know in 1 month anyway

Yep, a lot rides on how Western reviewers take to the game... The technical issues coming from Japanese reviewers are unsettling, to say the least.

Oh well, not too much longer and we'll all know for sure.

You really *are* that foolish?  Noone in Europe uses the Julian Calendar.  Aside from the Orthodox Church, every European institution switched to the Gregorian calendar LAST CENTURY.  I highly suggest you go get caught up.  There have been 2 World Wars, a communist revolution, and The Cold War since you last read a newspaper.

It is a bit unsettling to have reviewers point out so many flaws in the game anyway... This game could either be a moderate success or be to the 360 like Lair was to the PS3 because of its issues...
