Well in terms of how much fun i had the it would be gamecube. The ps3 still doesnt have a rpg better/equal to tales of symphonia to me so it cant dethrone the g cube yet. Still like my ps3 alot though.

Financial profits is all that matters to console builders so Gamecube wins.
Other thing that I found interesting from people's comments:
- GCN controller is better. Gamecube also had wireless not only PS3.
- As mentioned PS3 has hdd, plays tv shows, online etc... Is this something you can really add to the debate? Considering different generations?
You sold her a Gamecube? Why didn't you just sell her a used Wii?
Anyway, Gamecube was awesome. Ton of great memories with that console. The PS3 is awesome, too. It depends on the type of games that the customer was/is into.
Am I the only one here that loves the Gamecube?
It's my favourite Nintendo console, even if I wasn't old enough to appreciate the SNES. I have barely even played one, I just played a few Gamecube games on the Wii as well as multiplatform games or ports on other systems. The controller was amazing and the graphics were brilliant. While the games library wasn't very big, it was still very good, it had many of my favourite games of all time like Resident Evil 1/2/3/4, Sonic Adventure 1/2, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes and Timesplitters.
The Gamecube is probably in my top 5 consoles of all time, in a tie with the PS3. After seeing all the hate the Gamecube was getting I decided to vote for that instead.

No, a lot of people love the Gamecube, is my second favorite Nintendo home console.
As some have pointed out it depends of the tastes, some people think that the 360 is the best console while I think is the SNES. Making list wars is not going to prove anyone right or wrong because nobody is.
Having said that and since nobody is going to care... I can't wait to see the GBA vs 360 thread.
Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?
PS3 does not have Donkey Konga. 'nuff said.
For me it would entirely depend on how obnoxious the guy was being. If he was nice about it I would ask the lady what kind of TV she is going to game on, if she wanted to play in HD, etc. (Although, since bf has a PS3 wouldn’t a different system make since?)
Background: I’m the guy that like to rush to the defense of an employee being battered by an overly aggressive probably coming down from a crack/coke binge crazy customer. I realize I can ‘rescue’ them in a way a fellow employee can’t. (I stopped a similar berating at a popular game store from an obnoxious sweaty customer deciding between a Wii and one of the HD twins. After about half an hour with, “If you don’t like it, you can return it, why not try it out an see?” The creepy Troll was like, oh, someone challenged me! Must roll over and do what they say.)
Anyway, if the guy was a jerk I would have troll baited him, “PS3? Oh, golly do they still make those? Then why is Sony was making games for the X360.”
And just watched the hilarious melt down. (Possibly jump in if needed with, "But they ARE bringing Little Big Planet to the Xbox in June at E3.")
Anyway, a bit unfair with different gens, but a curious question. I guess much depends on how many games to you want to play by spending X dollars.
PS I’m usually rather quiet in person, just can’t stand crazy customers going off on trapped employees.

So you prefer the Gamecube...right?

If this debate was 360 PS3 or Gamecube, It would get rid of the troll poll votes, and it would be about 50/50 for the modern consoles.
This is nothing but a troll thread.
The PS3 any day, even though gamecube was my console of choice last gen lol.
