Not MC but still Japanese sales related...

"Nintendo 3DS broke Enterbrain's monthly sales record in December. According to Sankei News, the system sold 1,492,931 units over the month. This is the highest single month sales total since Enterbrain started tracking sales in 1997."

Good news. Hopefully Nintendo share gains in japan will provide an incentive for NTDOY next week.

Resident Evil is climbing the Amazon Jp charts too, its going to have a great January.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Lets see how good is the hold next week and we will have a third million seller on 3DS :D

How does the preview say FFXIII-2 sold 81,000 then the actual numbers are 61,000. How can they possibly be that inaccurate?
