First, this is a rumours. Second, if this rumour is correct it can't be Monster Hunter Portable 4 (or whatever) because they surely won't have a Vita version of an early-in-development 3DS game ready for late 2012. Also, what about the graphics which are pretty bad for a Vita game and surely would need additional polish? And why didn't we see Monster Hunter 4 running on Vita already? 

Again this makes the most sense I think: Nintendo stroke an exclusivity deal for future Monster Hunter games and they'll publish all of them in the west (hence no Portable 3G released in the west) and help market them. But Capcom can still release versions of the PSP game like Monster Hunter Portable 3 HD and Monster Hunter Portable 3 Vita.

Of course whichever version this is (and again it surely isn't Monster Hunter 4 if the release date is to be believed) I wonder if Capcom wants to kill its franchise. I mean how many iterations of Monster Hunter 3 have been released already? 

Doubt it will be MHP3HD. It is too late. It will be something new, maybe a Freedom or Portable. The big crowd for those games are at PSP and I see them moving to Vita.

@Boutros: MHTri was exclusive for Wii and Capcom never mentioned it. Stop with the same argument.

Ok maybe I'm just stupid since everyone seems to agree we'll see the game on Vita. But it doesn't make sense to me. Why would Capcom release a 3DS Monster Hunter and announce Monster Hunter 4 "for 3DS" and thus force the audience to switch to Nintendo platforms just to go back to the Vita later on? Their audience is on the PSP and would be on the Vita if it wasn't for that Monster Hunter 4 announcement. It's like Square announcing the next mainline Final Fantasy for Xbox 360 and then, after pulling the audience over re-releasing it for the PS3.

it would be nice to have and would boost sales of vita significantly.

Well.. it's Capcom... surely they can add another word to a title.... Super Monster Hunter tha Fourth Pie Vita Edition 2012 and call it exclusive..

Oh, because the portable series (Freedom Series) has a rich history with playstation portable. However It will be in some time, not right next to the 3DS version of Monster Hunter 4. 

Also it is possible Monster Hunter Portable 4th might be on the 3DS as well or maybe 3DS will get a title called Monster Hunter 4G. 

MH4g will be on vita,we all know how capcom loves money and money hats.Exclusive or not,nintendo has already got the benefit so it 's not a big deal anyway

Most likely it will be Portable 4th or Freedom (whatever).
