If they do make a new slim, what will they call it? Will they still call it the slim or would it be called super slim or something?

The current Slim isn't actually a true Slim. Premising that they'd do it only when die shrinks allow to put components in a far smaller case without overheating, a true Slim, besides the bigger appeal on many users, means lower costs for materials, shipping and warehousing, and being able to have more units in shops in a given shelf space.
hopefully they will reduce the size for the current model before the holidays & bundle it with two games for 199$ so they can profit & have a big impact over the holidays.
New slimmer design plus a price cut (finally a 199$ PS3), you know is coming guys that recipe has worked for every console and handheld.

i agree, i think it will hit this Christmas.
No point...
Ps3 slim is already slim. I dont want a ps3 looking like an ipad
Yay!!!
I hope it does. Remember how much the original PS2 shrank? The slim was TINY, I like it like that.
They probably won't though, they will probably put out a new SKU with improvements but it probably won't be any smaller.

I think there is a slim chance of them putting out a slimmer ps3. I think they will more than likely reduce the price another $50.
There has already been two hardware revisions for the slim (CECH-2000/2100/2500_3000).
Nothing drastic though, just lower power consumption.
