Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft patents DVR for game consoles.

What does this mean exactly?  I'm not a tech geek.

we can record our gameplays?

can we record the movies we rented through xbox?

Anything else we can do with DVR for game consoles?

Around the Network

Record TV shows

If this means we can record gaming sessions whenever we wanted to and hopefully be able to upload them to Youtube that would be just brilliant. In fact I'm sure that will be one of the big features of the next Xbox.

Would it be a killer feature?

Yay!!!

Considering the size and price of X360 HDDs it really would be a killer feature ;)

Xbox 360 can expand their HDD using USBs.. Imagine if you can save TV shows on them. O.o

That would be AMAZING!

Yay!!!

Interesting. Isn't Torne a DVR for the PS3 in Japan (or something turning the PS3 DVR capable)? There were times when there were no new games coming out for the PS3 yet it was having sales bumps in Japan, and these seemed to coincide with sales of Torne.
