sony should just package the vita with a tin foil hat, problem solved man

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

This doesnt make sense. Someone without internet connection cannot copy files to its Vita?!? Are we sure the content manager isnt just mandatory for digital games transfer?

This is pretty much the same thing that the PSP had, Sony was selling it via a third party for 29.99 in the early years of the PSP's life. It required a certain firmware to use.

However you can still transfer files normally via USB connection like you would do with a PC -> USB Thumbdrive.

I'm pretty sure its the same (unless if its needed for digital downloaded PSN games).

I would guess its mandatory for this purpose only. But this isnt a big deal. If you purchase your games digitally, this means that you have and will keep internet. If not, you can just purchase them at retail. And anyway, if you ever cancel your internet for any reasons, you could still manage your account at a friends house.

Retail versions will force you to upgrade to play the games lol.

Yeah but those retail versions always come with firmware install they need.

Yeah but I mean that the content manager is probably mandatory only for downloadable games, not for transfering files. Forced firmware has never been a problem, unless it removes features.

If your not a pirate then this should not bother you...

Looking at the sales numbers... this doesn't affect many people...

*hears: Run NiKKoM Run!*

lol, you got a laugh out of me.  Was reading all serious posts and then this, lol.

Great move by Sony, there is no reason not to update, so why not just update and be done with complaining.

Sounds like what Google and Facebook are doing. Spying on consumers seems to be a pretty common thing with big company's today.
