Forums - Gaming - The System with the Highest Metacritic Score Is ...

Ehh The rating thing is kinda dumb to determine which console had the best games because the numbers can be different. For instance Dead space 2 score 89 on Ps3 and 90 on 360 only because sites like PSM or OXM scored differently. Same goes with Batman, 94 on 360 and 96 on Ps3 even though both games are the same. Then you also have games like Limbo and Mass Effect 2 that both scored 90 or higher on Ps3, when both games released on the 360 last year. Kinda unfair, but it's what-ever I guess.

Can we finally put to rest the "average is 75-80" bullshit now? Clearly it;s around 60-70. Only another 10 points lower and we'd be around that magical 50 number that so many people seem akin to pushing.

Turns out I'm right, as usual. :P

Well dlc, licensed games, and xbla/psn games make up a huge chunk of all games below 50. Ratings are still way to lenient for actual full featured games imo.

I mostly hear that the average is ~70, which is almost right. Clearly the average is far above ~50 which is where it should be.
