It does happen occassionally when a company survives several generations.
1990: NES, SNES, GB, Mr. Game & Watch (maybe?)
1995: Virtual Boy, SNES, NES, GB
2001: N64, GB, GBA, GC
1995: Game Gear, Genesis, 32X (maybe?), Saturn
Nov 2006 - March 2007: Wii, DS, GBA, GC
2011: PS2, PSP, PS3, Vita
2012: Wii, Wii U, DS, 3DS
2012 or 2013: PSP, PS3, Vita, PS4, and possibly PS2 still doing tiny figures (like GC in 2006-2007 levels) as well.

I think Sony might be switching to 4 platforms strategy as a corporate strategy.
They need cheap consoles for emerging markets more than both competitors.
PS2 will probably be discontinued only when PS4 is released , and PSP will remain in sales channels for next 2-3 years till they can afford to sell PSV for 150$.

I would acknowledge that they are the first one stealing ideas..

Does the Sony tablet S count that thing is awesome and you can play Psone games on it?
It's interessting seeing how people are biased even in a uninportant discussion.
If we add Dsi/DsiXl then we have the obligation to add "systems" like PS3 With Move or X360 with Kinect. Thats stupid.
Also, most of you forgot PS1, wich is still being produced till today(or at least about 1 or 2 years ago).
Humm...About GC, when it's production was stopped? I know that the last game released for the system was about in 2008, but this don't mean that we have to count the system, because Nintendo already stopped the production at the time.
Dreamcast has still games being released. But that don't means that we have to count the plataform as "alive"
I'm wondering if the PS2 will still be around when the PS4 rolls out.
