Are SONY the first gaming company to have 4 systems on the go at the same time?

I think Sony might be switching to 4 platforms strategy as a corporate strategy.

They need cheap consoles for emerging markets more than both competitors.

 

PS2 will probably be discontinued only when PS4 is released , and PSP will remain in sales channels for next 2-3 years till they can afford to sell PSV for 150$.
