The Mayans had no apocalypse myth/tradition, and the date (2012) was not the ending of their calendar either.

The whole 2012 thing is even more moronic than the notion that the world was going to explode because of the Y2K monster.

i think its just the end of one era/cycle and the start of another,i believe these cycles can last a 1000 years or more

apparently this is the start of the era where humans start to realise that we truly are enlightened beings and steadily be a bit nicer to each other,and far into the cycle humans will be telepathic and bad thoughts and negativity become a thing of the past as we merge with spirit world and hence parasdise on earth but you will be along time dead by then and probably had a few new lives

we will also have two suns sometime in the future which will be pretty cool,i've often wondered in what circumstanes we could have two suns,i think i will have to make a thread and see if we have any budding somethingists
