Forums - Nintendo - No Grand Slam 2 for Wii???

Amazon had Grand Slam 2 for WII listed for some time and was rumored to be multiplat.  I just checked yesterday and no Wii version was listed.  Just checked IGN for the trailer and they had PS360 version listed but no Wii version.  Strange, seems a little messed up that a game that was Wii exclusive, sequel doesnt even show up on the console.  I would have bought the PS3 version myself, but still the original was good and i still play it. THe only thing I can think is that there will be a port to Wii U. THis game looks like it was made from the ground up for PS360 and it might have been easier to wait for WIi U and do a quick port than having to chop it up? Game drops in FEB BTW

I was thinking the same.

Shows just how poor Wii support has got. Shame really.

Yeah, they're probably waiting for Wii U. As long as they keep WM+ controls in, I'll forgive them.

Poor Wii is pretty much just left with delayed Nintendo titles like Last Story, now.

It's a shame.

Grand Slam Tennis was one of the few 3rd party games that used the Wii Motion Plus effectively.

And Dragon Quest X, which is just going to end up very poorly placed.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I do not remember the first one selling to spectacularly. Maybe I mistaked this for another Tennis game?

They are probably holding off till the Wii U. Look at tiger, used to be the best selling system for him was the Wii, but this past year that all changed. Still how much do they really need for this game to become a profit as a port on the Wii?

first one sold 820,000 on WIi, i think that respectable for a game like this, and from what i heard EA was actually happy with the sales.  Judging from the trailers for the sequel it was made using the HD assests, so I would imagine that it would cost them some money to get the get it running on a lower end system. THey would have to at least farm it out to another dev, which isnt cheap, probably just easier to wait it out for Wii U which it will be cake to port the PS360 game. I say easier not neccesarily better, still I wonder how long the Wii version was along, it was on Amazon for the longest. Unless EA was just jerking them around and never had intentions of releasingit.

I'm planning on buying the 360 version, but it is a bit surprising that it won't be on the Wii. It seems as if developers are focusing mainly on the HD consoles now-a-days.
