Japanese Monster Hunter 3G shipments have topped one million units, publisher Capcom has announced.
Launched in Japan on December 10, 2011, the game helped break two 3DS sales records in its first week of availability.
It sold 471,055 copies in just two days, easily topping the weekly software sales record previously held by Mario Kart 7, and drove record weekly sales for Nintendo's portable.
The series has now sold over 20 million units since debuting in 2004.
