Forums - Gaming - Rules that should be applied to the video game industry

My number 1 rule would be don't insult the video game preferences of your elders.  If someone is older and has been gaming longer than you then you shall not insult their preferences no matter your "hardcore" status.

Another rule would be thou shall not refer to Nintendo as kiddie ever again.  Last time I checked it said E for everyone not K for kids.

Come up with your own rules and lets keep them at least semi decent.

E does stand for children. I thought someone of your age would have learned that by now. -_-

Nice one...  I gotta go to work now (where I get to listen to a little punk talk trash about Nintendo) so I can't come up with any more video game rules, but I do have one more rule.  Homer shall be forced to choose an avatar by the end of the year.

Final Fantasy VII Remake should be rumored at every game show or as every secret announcement.

No more cinematic bullshit. Let's get back to actually playing video games.

That's a stupid rule.

Make only games where you wander around and basically do nothing for hours.

Skyrim, Zelda, GTA, ....not that is bad, but you can easily spend hours doing nothing.

oooooh this, I love games like that (mostly RPGs are like that)

Well technically you are doing something even if you aren't on a quest, etc...  I would consider Mario Clock a "game" where you do nothing since you can jump and collect as many coins as possible yet in the end you really didn't even accomplish anything.  Just get technical.  So if you like to wander around and accomplish things on your own time then why aren't you a big Animal Crossing fan?

In order to claim elite hardcore gamer status you had to grow up at least during the 8-bit era.
