So because DA2 was criticized for dumbing down formula of Dragon Age 1 they will import elements from another one of super dumbed down rpg games ?

I love how you pile Skyrim with Super Dumbed Down RPG games.

Especially since Skyrim is basically the most complete Elder Scrolls game since Daggerfall. If any, Morrowind and Oblivion were the dumbed down ones. The only flaws you can point at Skyrim is the lackluster UI, which is clearly tailored for consoles in detriment of a more PC-friendly one.

Do yourself a favour and play Daggerfall and you'll see how wrong you are in categorizing Skyrim as a Super Dumbed Down RPG.

He just doesn't like the fact he doesn't need a spreadsheet open to make sure he levels up right, he misses clippy.

Or in the case of ADOM in which you needed a spreadsheet just to make sure you don't roll a Farmer and get hit by a rock on the head at the very first step that you take xD.

How the hell did you guys know I played ADOM ? ;)

man everyone is making more open games these days, even Kojima

"The kind of game I'm making is some game that has a very wide entrance, a very open entrance," Kojima said through a translator in a phone interview with CNN last week. "Rather than making something very cinematic, [I plan to] make something very free."

Well I doubt Dragon Age 3 will be that open. It's already a step up if it goes back to Dragon Age Origins' openness with a nice map.

the only thing they should take from skyrim, is the massive world. Elder Scrolls should be elder scrolls. Dragon Age should be Dragon Age. Variety is key to success, not making clones of a successful title.

Best news this week. Big respect to Bioware for complimenting Bethesda and admitting that they're getting inspired by them.

I loved Origins. DA2 was a big disppointment but still a good and entertaining game. I believe Dragon Age will benefit from being influenced by Elder Scrolls.
