@ clerk-
sadly a lot of us do take notice to the smallest details
plus 20% is sort of a milestone.
Were the numbers just updated?, I would swear it just said 19.7% like 10 min ago.

I noticed too - it's now back at 19.9% untill the US and Japan sales come through which May push it into 20%.
The sales have dropped off significantly now intersting the Wii has dropped the hardest but still leading by 20K in others.
Ps3 is looking good for exceeding it's 2007 sales easily IF it can keep over 100K per week in others hmm.

Haha, no, I'm a Nintendo fan first and foremost. I just don't see the point in this thread.

There is no point, just Kirby trying to show up the PS3 I guess because its numbers were adjusted and lowered; perhaps he should take a look at how much the Wii's numbers were lowered by and make a thread about that as well...

PS3 now at 20.2%
Interesting that the Wii has dropped really hard after Xmas it's been outsold by Xbox360 and PSP in the US and in others it's not far ahead of the pack either , all those impulse buyers during Xmax really boosted it.
Now hollidays are over it's back down with the xbox and ps3 and will see if it really has that market appeal and unique style to keep it competative during the off season.

The wii is supply constrained, so no wonder.
10 Million units is an interesting number for any console. You may think is that developers can afford to put in some effort knowing they have a reasonable potential to sell a game.
Playing kane-and lynch demo, and ALL other FSP games on PS3 or X360 is total crap !
trying to aim by scrolling-moving a crosshair with thumbsticks is like watching paint dry ,it turns what should be a 5 second scirmish into a 50 seconds of slow motion bordom.
The Player View is far to narrow human vision is close to 180 degrees in the games you see about 90 at best, if someone was becide you you cant see them in a game - crap.
PC with a mouse is vastly superior to the Wii ,PS3 or X360 thumbsticks - the mouse's speed also helps overcome the limited angular point ot view.
UT3 on PS3 did allow a mouse at least.
The Wii with it's IR cursor was also an improvement at least it's fast.
What annoys me about the PS3 is the lack of a sixaxis pointing system on PS3 games. Apparently most developers are lazy dim witted fanboys with no idea at all about how to use the sixaxis !.
Only a few titles seem to make use of it ie motorstorm is the first PS3 game to hit 1.5M in the US, and most others I would consider it a minor feature like folklore or Resistance.
Mabey when there are 10million PS3 owners one could hope to see a FPS game which uses sixaxis motion pointing to speed up game play. Currently console FPS games are an exercize in bordom and fustration at the slow pathetic pace of play that thumbstick controllers seem to produce - so i will be sticking with my old PC untill this changes.
Till I see such a game my PS3 is just for Blu-rays.
I have TC4 on order which is the only console game with a fast aiming system (it uses a light gun similar to the WiiMote).
I am actually really glad that Sony made a loss when i bought My 60Gig PS3 and they wont be getting it back from me untill i see an FPS game with motion pointing if ever that happens.

It seems that PS3 is gaining faster in the overall numbers rather than in the different divisions. Is that possible?
