So, any people out there in love with the sport like me?
If so, what are your events and your PRs?

I participated in my highschool teams last year. I do really enjoy the rush you feel when racing. Its like nothing else, but I really wasn't good enough to continue running after high school.
5k really really slow =(
200m around 23.5
400m around 53
800m around 2min 9 seconds
I managed to make varsity, but was nowhere near the times of the fastest runners on my team.
Wow, your times match mines exactly, except my 800m time was a 2:05. I'm hoping to go sub 52 & sub 2:00 this year.
I'm sorry to hear you can't run anymore. I hope my future turns out better than yours (no offense). You go to college?
Oh, no! Bringing back awful memories of running the 800 RIGHT after the 3200. :(
PR's:
800: 2:08ish
1600: 4:55
3200: 11:30
For Cross Country, I've peaked at hovering around 18 minutes for 3 miles. My team went to State Sophomore year and won League my Junior year.
I quit running in the middle of Junior year for so many reasons that I could write a novel about it.

I'm sure you'll be able to. My senior year of highschool was a HUGE improvement over my junior year, so if you already run faster then me, you should be getting some good times next year, especially with the added motivation of potentially getting big scholorships and having only soo many races left in high school.
Ya I go to college and I still run for fun, just not competitively. While I love running it took up way too much time in highschool, and since I'm not exactly amazing at it, I would rather spend my free time in university doing a variety of sports and activities.
Im more of a moutain biker myself, uphillclimbs im particulary good at, running i just do every now and then, no idea what my track times are but i can do 6.5 miles in 49 mins

LOL, barring an extreme breakthrough, I won't be getting any big track scholarships in high school (I'm already a senior). I agree, running does take up a lot of my time, but I think it's worth the returns. But, who knows, things may change in college and I'll change my mind. I hope not. You mind giving your times for your Junior year? I like knowing the progression of other runners to try to predict my own. |
800m 2:20
400m 56
200m 25.5ish
for some reason your comment made me think you were a junior and those times were from your sophmore year.
Me!
I just started as a Junior, though, and these have been my very first Cross Country and Indoor seasons.
So uh, ignore the horrible times:
5K; 20:41
3600: 12:50 (ran first one Friday night)
1600: 5:50ish (haven't run it yet.... last year it was 6:13, but I've at least improved by 20 seconds, than those non-running years)
800: no idea.
Last year's outdoor season was the first time I ran. The only thing I improved in was losing a shit ton of weight.
