Forums - General - Any fellow track & Cross Country Runners out there?

I ran CC and Track until my spring of my junior when I had to have surgery on my femur. It put me out of running for quite a while. My PR for CC junior pre-injury was 18:20 for 5k.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

That was about 3 - 4 years back. Running has always been a hobby ever since i was small since my dad is a ultra marathon runner, did some cross country running for my school and some road running races, nothing major mostly for fun. This was mostly when i was 14 and younger. Ever since then i stopped then i got pretty unfit since i stopped all sports in my final school year to concentrate on my studies, my dad said i should start running again. So i did, this was about when i was 18 - 19 and me and my friend decided to run a marathon, we eventually settled on a half . I think i trained for about two weeks for that half marathon. I also did some 10 km races earlier in the year, but that was the first time i ran a 21km, it was actually the first time i went pass 10km if im not mistaken.

Not too bad for only a few weeks of training. I don't think I've ever ran over about 8Km consecutively.
