Nice to see its a serious take on Star Wars.

yup, sounds like George Lucas is personally involved in a big way.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

It's a shame we have to be subtle when making fun of kinect these days. What a turn of events.

At least kinect is relevant and popular enough to warrant making fun of....

I prefer to make fun of geeks that get all defensive about a third rate sci-fi series called star wars, luckily there arent any here.  Didnt star wars have a scene in a bar, where people wearing funny, poorly made, masks drink, belch and generally act in a b-movie like way?

serious? star wars?  do me a favour.

I just hope you don't imply TJ Hooker in Space Star Trek is any better! Anyhow, original trilogy FTW, it was amusing, simple sci-fi for the masses, the trilogy of the prequels got worse as much as technology available to make it grew, compared to the original.

Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian")

Those sort of statements essentially boil down to nerds having disagreements with Lucas' decisions, and then instatnly assuming he's evil.  The guy's still passionate about his franchise.

I think it's interesting to see how Lucas's ideas of acceptable characterization and storytelling change as he ages, though. The Han vs. Greedo scene is probably the best in the franchise for that; thirty-some years ago, Han shooting Greedo in the guts was daring and radical, a way to establish that even if he was a joking rogue, Han Solo was someone that you did not mess with. He had that air of potential ruthlessness to him, and it was established in that first scene.

The revision just shows that Lucas no longer finds that characterization acceptable, which is an interesting change - more interesting in Lucas than in Solo, though.

People aren't really making fun of Kinect, we all know how fun it is to wave your arms around, they make fun of the games using Kinect. Anyway. The original Star Wars, which you're talking about here, WAS a B-Movie kowen. That's why this is stupid. Star Wars deserves at least a B rated game... Not an F rated game.

I want to feel manly when I play my videogames kowen. I want to have fun in a manly way, shooting things first, confessing my love for politicians and shouting "NOOOOOOO" at every opportunity.

I don't want to break out into dance for a bunch of pervy aliens shouting things.

I see.

I thought you liked JRPGs?

The last new JRPG I actually bought was Final Fantasy XIII. Take from that what you will.

star wars doesn't deserve this treatment.
