A great achievement for a really fun game. I say well deserved.
And I'm glad that IW and Sledgehammer are actually following through this time and listening to the community and fixing the game with tons of post game support. I would have much rather preferred dedicated servers and actual open beta testing, but atleast its not like MW2 where they just left the game to die a horrible death.

COD is a game bought by many gamers...
The hardcore gamer is a strong group but rarely can they create epic massive sales.
COD is a game bought by people who buy games once or twice a year.
I'm about to post a crazy opinion:
I like MW3's single player more than its multi-player. Like, I'm actually enjoying it, its one of the reasons I haven't ditched it yet for BF3.
Also, I know so many people hate on CoD, so I'll go out of my way to say congrats, Activision is clearly doing something right.
Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League
and yet they charge $15 for map packs....and I think BLops is still $50 new....what the hell are they doing with all that money? atleast give back to your consumers...

And I agree about COD, it started offending me since they crippled the superior PC versions removing the dedicated server, but generally I wouldn't have liked anyway the n-th yearly remake of the same game. I respect a lot more GT and Halo and other great franchises, that put a lot more time between the releases of main titles.
