console must increase it`s first years SALE numbers TWICE, to be successful. NOT total numbers, BUT sale numbers per year.

I know he is banned and can't respond but according to his own theory the PS2 was a failure as it failed to sell twice as much in its second full year as it did in its first full year+first part year:

 First full year+first part year it sold 10.61 according to Crazzyman

Second full year it sold 28.68-10.61 = 18.07 

 As 18.07 is less than 10.61*2= 21.22 that means that according to Crazzyman's own yardstick he PS2 was a failure.

It just goes to show just how well he chose his username.

Despite what Microsoft has repeatedly called "the greatest holiday lineup in videogame history" (their words, not ours) with the likes of Game of the Year contenders BioShock, The Orange Box, Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4, the Xbox 360 struggled in 2007 to outpace PS3. While it managed to do just that, shipments declined year-over-year. The Xbox 360 shipped 7.3 million in 2007, down 18 percent from 8.9 million in 2006, shortly after launching in November 2005.

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

M$ failed to sell enough x360 in 2007, that they could ship in 2007 more, then in 2006. End of story.
But it`s nice to see, that not only me noticed that. =)

Also, what's the deal with your sig where you say Folklore, HS, Lair, UT3, and such were going to move PS3s? Sales wise, most of 'em tanked.
