Looks quite similar to the first one

But when we saw his doppleganger, all I could think of was Moriati from the recent BBC Sherlock, the tone was exactly the same

Making it an XBLA game imo is the best route for this game. Think of it as the Dead Rising games, but bigger. It will probably bring in more fans than the original and will be much cheaper, with just as much content as the original.

Well I have never read Steven King, but he seems to be mentioned a ridiculous amount in relation to this game

ALan Wake as a character is basically a younger Stephen King. The theme of the game - about stories and writers and writing - is also very Stephen King. Whoever the guys making this game are, they freaking love some King.
