So do you have to have an overpriced card to have a PSN account on the console?

Every other console lets you long in as whoever you want so if people want to complain about that they have a good reason. One card one account is stupid and just because you don't have a problem with it doesn't mean others won't.

It is still something to whine about but I guess it can be slightly less whining unless you do have to have an overpriced card to even get onto PSN, then more whining is needed.

From what I could tell, most people were disappointed about only having one account per device because it made it impossible to download games from other regions and play them with their main account. Or playing them at all on the same Vita. That was the case for me given I often like Japanese exclusive apps, like Torostation.

This doesn't make that prospect much easier, and it still necessitates the buying of rather expensive memory cards to use more than one account on a Vita.

What's with this "nobody should complain stfu" mentality people have?

The only thing I believe should happen to quiet much of the complaining would have been to package the Vita with a 2-4GB card.

By the way, have these US memory card prices been confirmed or are they placeholders? Hopefully, similar to the PSP, the cards come down in price. That or some 3rd party companies release clone cards.

I also hope that since it is cart based we end up getting a Pro Action Replay for the Vita. :)

I think you're misunderstanding what he's saying.

On ps3, for example, if I buy DLC for any game, every user on my ps3 can then use that DLC, even if they haven't paid for it.  On Vita, since each memory card can only have one account, and thus all content bought through that account can only be downloaded and used by that account on that memory card, the aforementioned scenario becomes impossible.  Each account will have to pay for DLC separately.

I originally took it as someone worrying about having to download it twice due to a family member wanting their own saved games or something.

Your problem is valid though, not to mention I realized that my knuckleheaded approach to the titling and such is only going to send the thread downhill. Very counter productive for something that comes off as positive for me, which is PSN Accounts being tied to memory cards, being that I have a kid and I only use my US account.

I went ahead and cleaned it up, making it more neutral.

Why do you need multiple accounts? I just don't get it.

Good thing Sony updated the PS3 to act as a storage unit for Vita content. So you can carry the content over, factory reset the Vita, load up another account, download what you want...rinse and repeat.

Now that's the way to do it.  =)
