I have the same question. I baught the N64 only for Ocarina of time.

How do u all know that the Wii U will have a HD version of the new Zelda?

I third this.

Ill advice, since Nintendo rarely remakes games one generation later: the New Play Control series being the rare exception. This plus the fact that not only will there not be an HD version released, but the Wii U won't even upscale the existing version to HD

 

Now's as good a time as any to get a Wii. Prices are way down, and unlikely to sink lower until the Wii U itself rolls around

There won't be, and they don't know

@ Dr. Grass,

Depends on the terms. I mean, if we say that it will never be made, then such a bet could not be resolved until the end of the Wii U's lifespan, potentially not until 2017-2018. Are you confident enough that such a game will be made in the first year of the Wii U's life (up to the end of the solar year 2013) to place a bet on that?

I'd suggest getting a cheap Wii, and to also get Xenoblade while you're at it. You don't want to miss The Last Story next year either.
You'll have to pay much more for a WiiU, you'll have to wait much longer and it might not have enough games for you to justify getting one. You also don't know if there will be a Skyward Sword HD remake.
If you don't mind waiting about a year or so to play it then you can wait for the WiiU.

Well if you can get a deal such as game + console for $150 or less, then yes. If not, then wait for WiiU.

Wait for the WiiU. Not only for SS, but also if there are other Wii games or some new WiiU ones you'll like to play.

With the Wii so cheap and at least 10 other games only on Wii you'd probably like to play as well... I'd just pick up a new Wii and Zelda gold remote bundle.
