Asad Quizilbash, product marketing manager for Uncharted 3 has revealed the sales of the Uncharted series in an interview with Industrygamers. He said that the series’ sales has surpassed over 13 million units globally and is attracting new gamers to the platform.

“We also shipped an Uncharted 3 PS3 Bundle for $299.99. You get the 320GB PS3, and a free copy of Uncharted 3. Sales of this bundle are exceeding ours and retailer’s expectations, showing that Uncharted 3 is bringing new consumers to the PS3 platform,” he said.

“Sold over 13 Million units globally.”

He also mentioned that the launch sales were twice that of Uncharted 2, and it is one of the most successful Sony first-party franchises ever. He didn’t say anything about a new Uncharted game, but we suspect it should hit soon for the next-gen Sony home console.

“As we reported, day one we shipped over 3.8 Million copies of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Week one sales were double that of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, far exceeding our expectations.”

We are not sure of the breakdown, but it seems like Uncharted 1 sold 3.8 million units; Uncharted 2 – 5.0 million, and Uncharted 3 – 3.8 million. Of course, these are official numbers and Sony hasn’t updated the current numbers for each game yet.

ok and now we are saying it shipped and the 960k xbox are sold yea right......

Even if shipped, still great news. There is still a demand for single player heavy games, although not as much as CoD and it's clones but oh well. Congrats to one of the best new franchises this gen! Cheers!

Perhaps we have Uncharted 1 undertracked, and Uncharted 2 overtracked. Given they shipped 4.9m Uncharted 2 end of Sep and we have 4.97M sold ...

That's the worst case using 13 million shipped... the news talks about OVER 13 million shipped.

It's from Sony dated October 4th ... I doubt it's a figure from months ago. And I think you mean Uncharted 4.1 not 3.1.
