I don't know if  you could call the tea party mindless.  They seem to have pretty focused and uniform goals as of current.

Of course that makes them way more likely to rip apart the republicans then OWS.

OWS realy seems more like a "Everything to Everyone" movement, in which everyone interprets the movement to fit near their exact belief system and therefore are disapointed and feel betrayed when it doesn't play out that way. (or in OWS case, at all.)

Really i'd compare it to Clinton/Obama.

Obama was very much an "Everything to everyone" candidate and it shows by liberals blasting him as not liberal enough to moderates calling him too liberal.

VS someone like Clinton, who had many opinions liberals, green liberals and union workers disagreed with, but accepted because they knew where he stood and viewed him as more good then bad.

The Tea Party could end up like clinton... or they could end up like the Goldwater Republicans.
