Didn't know where to put this, so I put it in Gaming, but EA has a Cyber Monday Sale on their online store Origin. Google "Origin EA", it should be the first link titled store.origin.com or something.

Anyway I didn't know EA had a store like this, but they do, and EVERY GAME is 50% off. Got me Battlefield 3 for $30, Portal 2 for $20 and Crysis 2 for $20.

P.S. Make sure to select the console you wish to purchase the game on. For PC purchases you can decide physical unit or digital sale.

Freight costs will eat up the savings on physical copies and, besides, I want as little as possible to do with the floundering Origin system. It really does take a backseat to every other digital service I know of and use.

Personally I don't want to support EA or Activision at all. EA refuses to let Polyphony Digital and Turn 10 use Porsche in their games and I think that's just shameful.

But Portal is a good game, and in Canada we don't get crazy Black Friday sales, so it's nice to be able to get something cheap before christmas (Our sales are on Dec 26th - Boxing Day).

Also I agree, steam is better, but I don't even have a windows/mac based Pc which is capable of gaming. So it's useless to me.

EA makes great games, who cares if they want some exclusivety ? if you want to be pissed off at someone you should look at ferrari , they're a pain in the ass to publishers , so much so that they had to remove all the outrun games on XBLA/PSN because of the old ferrari models.

Difference is; Steam actually works... I've never had as much trouble as I had with Battlefield 3 with anything else in my life and certainly not in gaming. And EA's treatment of people who complained (not rudely) was unacceptable and weak. Origin is still way too unstable to use as a manager and has a lot of catching up to do with Steam and others. And the prices are ridiculous.

HOLY! Almost wish I didn't spend money on a trip to MLG, could have bought quite a few goodies.

Exclusivity wouldn't be bad if EA made a proper racing sim. I can't respect a company who doesn't play fair, they want their game sales to improve by hurting the competition. They should improve their game sales by making a better game.

I mean, at least let Forza and GT have some Porsche... Your making the gamers suffer because of being greedy.

I don't have much experience with Origin, but Steam works really well. I love it, I mean I l got a new computer and left my counter strike game at my parents place (moved out ages ago), but to play it all I had to do was re-download it.

Also Steam, unlike XBL or PSN, sells games are reasonable prices. After a year or two most games become discount, or clearance, and it's hard to say no. Ontop of that they make awesome bundles and deals for franchise supporters.

I wish XBL and PSN was as good as steam. If I can pick up a used copy of Halo 3 for $10-15 at the store, the price on XBL should be the same, or at least competitive.
