That's 800k in the Americas for 1 million worldwide. I'd be blown away.

I would not be surprised if it actually did 1 million. Kinect seems to be what the Wii was 2006-2009 during the holiday season. Still hoping for a last hurrah of the Wii cause of its price and Zelda.
I found the info quite useful......until I did the research and discovered that the business in question was run from a single pick-up truck parked behind a Waffle House in Florida.
Thanks for the info. Any view on Kinect standalone sales vs bundles? I got the impression a lot of people were buying it standalone vs bundles from other sources and a single confirmed source would be good.
Sounds like worldwide it's going to be a very close race. 360 should top US, 3DS is going to take a big jump forward and PS3 is going to do well although spread more evenly by region. Now if we just had numbers on the front page to judge by...
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Wii will have to fight really hard to win the weeks from BF to year's end WW this year, XB360 and PS3 aged a lot better, let's see how they sold the weeks before BF this year and how they did last year (alas the week immediately before this year's BF isn't available yet, so I omitted it for last year too to compare fairly and meaningfully the two periods):

Wii starts noticeably weaker, while both PS3 and XB360 start stronger YoY, and we start hearing XB360, despite the older age, could have achieved record BF sales. Now, we know that despite starting 3rd last year too, Wii won the holidays anyway, but starting even lower, and with new HW to steal the thunder and Wii having very few new big titles, this year it will be a lot harder, not impossible, but harder (notice that XB360 and Wii roughly swapped positions for BF this year, according to the limited data we have now, could be indicative of a different holidays boosts trend compared to the past)
