Forums - Sales Discussion - New Wii declared 1 of the 5 Black Friday deals to avoid

Black Friday Ads www.bfads.net has declared the new Wii redesign 1 of the 5 Black Friday deals to avoid. Specifically they said that if you want to purchase a Wii you should look for the Wii Mario Kart bundle because it still supports the Gamecube games and controllers. Main argument is the removal of GameCube backwards compatibility. I dont really buy the argument, but it has now been published.

EDITED because of poor sentence structure. Sorry it was from my phone.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Doesn't load for me, but that's pretty bad if so!

I think BFads is really wrong here. At this point no one should care about b/c.

Right now is a great time to buy a Wii. Target has a bundle on sale now for $149 with NSMBWii and ZeldaSS,plus their music CDs.

Also, your link in wrong... http://bfads.net/The-5-Worst-Deals-of-BF-2011

To have any console on the list isn't good ... but the link didn't work for me anyway

I think the offical $100 price tag is for people looking for a brand new wii instead of a pre-owned one. Also I don't think people knew (or care) that the Gamecube functionality is out.

I'm not sure anyone buying a new Wii at this point cares about B/C. I have over 50 GC games though and so I do. Thankfully my launch system is still going strong. *knocks on wood*

why so much care about GC backwards!?

I mean, no-one cared about GC during it's lifetime, why this interest all of a sudden!?
it's hard to buy GC games to play on Wii anyway, except if you own a GC and games from before, why want backwards compatibility!?

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

MOST PEOPLE WHO OWN A Wii DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT A GAMECUBE IS.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

...burn them at the stake I say

For the Wii's only current advantage over the other home consoles this was a poor move, Double Dash, SSBM, Super Mario Sunshine are some examples of games that need to be played. The only hardcore Nintendo fans wanting Wii's are people that desperately want Skyward Sword and only played Twilight Princess on the Gamecube. People wanting motion control gaming will turn to the PS3 and Xbox 360.
