Pullus, do you know what "epic" means?

It certainly doesn't mean running around for ten minutes and shooting bolts.

You know what is epic? What I just saw on my brother's copy of Skyrim.

I was playing it for a little while. I own the 360 version, and he has a PC version. I was trying out his character to see what he had different than mine. We both rolled the same class essentially - high elf battlemage, but with mostly different loadouts in every slot.

At any rate, he tells me to travel to an area just to complete a simple quest. I fast travel to the area.

I begin talking to the lady to finish the quest and recieve the item.

Out of no where, in the background, I see an immense dragon flying towards me in the background. It gets closer and closer while I am finishing up this conversation, and eventually begins to breathe fire on myself and the woman I am having a conversation with.

From that, we began a 15 minute battle with not ONE but TWO dragons attacking the area. Every humanoid and animal character within a 1 mile radius began attacking the dragon. Fire, flames, arrows, and swords were clanging together to fight off the beasts. You would see them land in the distance, and begin to massacre and eat imperial soldiers, wolves, and whatever else was in the area. Eventually, we won, but the entire town was ransacked. The dragon nearly destroyed a farm house by sitting of its roof, while spitting flames at the townspeople.

It was 100% unscripted. Totally random. I have never seen that kind of random brilliance in any game.

This is the kind of thing I would like to play this game for.

then watch the second video , its unscripted, and i'll be posting another video soon (its uploading pretty slow =[ )

everything that is happening in that video, like the fact that is night and the moon is on the left side , and the sky is clear not cloudy at first then the weather changed suddenly, and the fact that wolve packs are hunting and a dragon is eating them for food, all that and more are 100% not scripted.

How do you spend 15 minutes killing them, with the aid of all those others? I kill two on my own in less than two minutes...

When they fly around a lot in an area with a lot of trees. This was in between Whiterun and Windhelm at the little mining camp. Not a good area to get a lot of arrows or fireballs off. The dragons would constantly sweep in, breathe some fire, then fly off with a guard in their mouths or something of that nature. Generally, they kept away from close in fighting until they were hurt enough. Once my brother could engage them with melee, they went down VERY quickly.

Yeah, it can be a pain when they don't touch down. I usually get a sneak shot in with my bow as they take to the air and taking heavy damage seems to prompt them to land even before they crash. They're especially fond of circling when there's two of them, almost like the AI scripts are interfering with each other. I've also had a couple of episodes where I'm fighting one dragon and another shows up, circles a bit and then just leaves again without engaging me.

The dragon fights are great fun but somewhat easy on Adept, the only challenge that can arise is facing one in completely open terrain with no cover from breath weapon. Then again, I have a couple of hundred healing potions on me plus another couple hundred in the stash in Whiterun so I can just gulp them down...

I'm level 43 right now but I only have 220 health and mediocre armor (leveling up enchant now to make it better) so if someone or something gets very close, I can die once in a while. Its rare though since I sneak almost all the time and one-shot every enemy except Vampire Masters, Mammoths, Dragons and certain bosses. Gonna make me another Daedric bow and smith and enchant it a lot better for 3-400 damage or more, can't imagine the dragons living for long then!

The video was not captured to really "entertain". It's just showing us some pretty atmoshphere, beautiful environment, stuff we can actually do.

You didn't fail, but people here either expected too much from a video that is spoilers/story missions-free or they are just being mean for no particular reaoson, the latter is common in vgc

It's the OPs fault the title basically said *This video will totally convince you if you're on the fence about Skyrim

Looks boring, like Oblivion, and it still has a crappy 3rd person camera and shoddy combat by the looks of it - I fell for the hype once (Oblivion), I'm not falling for it again (Skyrim).

i suggest you give this one a chance, like i said this is Skyrim not oblivion, Skyrim to Oblivion is like Assassins Creed 1 to assassins Creed 2.

huge difference in content and AC 1 was boring as hell compared, so i say give it a chance and you won't regret it.

This is my first post in months and I am reallly only posting to say this. Give the game a try. I think Oblivion was a steaming pile of shit, with barely any room for debate. Maybe it was the retarded characters, it was probably the leveling mobs, maybe i was in a bad mood every time I started, or it may have been the fact that every time I started i headed left to the arena and proceeded to use basic strafing FPS skills to win it from the get go. Whatever the case, the game fucking sucked.

Now, it may be because there has been jsut so much fucking shit games being rleased, and I haven't tried playing Oblivion since 2007 (and I am on a PC, I get all the badassery Oblivion on the PC got with its mods), so it's possible my standards have gotten so shot that I am glad a mediocre game is released and I think of it as good (this is actually VERY possible, I won't deny it). However I am thoroughly enjoying Skyrim. I also tried strafing and poking as before and it ended extremely disasterously for me. The story isn't good, but there is a very certain feeling of "badass" I get when I turn into a werewolf and proceed to rip bandits apart for shits and giggles. In fact, I like it so much I'm just about ready to pay money for the game, let that thought sink in.

Edit: Oh yeah the interface for this game is still a pile of shit, however at least now I can assign items to my number keys.

Edit 2: I fucking hate assassin's creed, and I too haven't even bothered with AC2 and on because it looks like the exact same damn game. However this case is different. I kinda liked Morrowind, absolutely abhorred Oblivion, and now I kinda like Skyrim, so I can't use the same logic here.
