Mine is Wind Waker: just the perfect and flawless adventure game for me with an unique touch and adventure feeling. The sailboat, the wind, the islands, the story, the dungeons, all of this was perfect for me. The universe was beautiful, lifeful and organized in a way where you were always finding something to do or something new. The gameplay was top notch as usual with Zelda.

Will see if SS can top that.

Your picks?

Link's awakening. I loved it when I randomly picked it up at Manchester airport, while waiting for a plane refueling to be complete.

Wind Waka!!!!

Your forgot other Zeldas! :D
Actually you forgot the one that i would choose: the very first zelda on NES.

Oh, come on. Isn't the maximum amount of poll options, like, twelve, or something?

So you might as well add Link's Awakening, Zelda II and the original into the poll.

And take that yucky choo-choo game off the poll while you're at it.

On topic: A Link to the Past.

A link to the past. A challenging game that was like nothing I had played before and it improved so much more on the NES versions. Ocarina of time was great, but the easy fight vs Ganon at the end was a huge disappointment.

Twilight Princess. Zelda's finest hour. Started out great and kept getting better and better. People think it's just a retread of OoT but having replayed TP right before OoT 3D, I don't agree at all.

2 for LttP, 1 for LA, 1 for TP, and 2 for WW.

Just goes to show how awesome the series is. Like Mario, every game is "The Best" to somebody.....except Zelda II. That was some 'ol bullshit.

I used to say Majora's Mask, but I recently replayed some of it on VC and didn't enjoy it quite as much as I'd thought. Not for the game itself, but for the obligatory VC lag, and the graphics / framerate. A 3DS remake can't come soon enough!
So for the moment, I'd rather say Twilight Princess or Wind Waker... then again, it's been a while since I played ALttP. Damn it's so hard to decide.

Ah I'll make a list!! Lists are good.
From bestest to worstest, according to me:

1 - ALttP (Ok it was just such a huge step forward, and it holds up so well today)
1 - Twilight Princess (most atmospheric Zelda, biggest epic - last third felt a bit rushed though)
1 - Wind Waker (feels so alive, so much variation... only downside was the wind direction thing)
1 - Majora's Mask (LOVED the sidequests, time pressure could get annoying)
5 - Links Awakening (just as much soul as ALttP, just harder to enjoy nowadays)
6 - Ocarina of Time (might need to be higher on the list, I need to replay)
7 - Zelda I (a bit dated of course, otherwise essential)
8 - Phantom Hourglass (good, but not epic enough)
9 - Zelda II (never finished it, shame on me. Hardest Zelda for sure!)
10 - Spirit Tracks (good dungeons, horrible lack of overworld / exploration)
11 - Oracles (never finished them, feels like Capcom was given an ALttP-construction kit)
12 - Minish Cap (never finished it, feels like Capcom was given an ALttP-construction kit)

To do: Never played Four Swords Adventures - got the game and 4 link cables already, now I "only" need... FOUR GBA's. :/

Wind Waker closely followed by Link to the Past and then Link's Awakening
