Why did your banned (almost) thread get locked? Was it giving users too many good ideas to just get warned and not banned?

People were starting to use it to bad mouth the Moderators, and a group meeting was had on the matter by the moderators about whether they should keep it going or not. They did not. I wonder what was different about this banned thread compared to the original 8,000 post banned on vgcharts thread?
