How many Ubisoft games did I buy for my Wii and DS anyway? Let's see, looks like there's 120+ games on my shelves and Ubisoft's share is... 0 %?

Anecdote =/= data.

Really? To me it always looked like third parties were making all their decisions based on anecdotes. How nobody played the Wii, how there was no interest in quality games among Wii owners etc.

Two wrongs do not make a right.

yay!! Petz and Catz are coming to WiiU...

sounds nice to support, but i hope they don't mean the same support they gave to the Ds, as for the Wii, Ubisoft did a great job with RedSteel and Rayman's Raving Rabbits and other stuff, but still 70% if not more of their Wii game have been a complete and utter nightmare...

hopefully Assassin's Creed

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Well he said they want to port HD games on it with the inclusion of the tablet, while also developing exclusive casual stuff for it, so what's the big deal? You were expecting exclusive high-end games for it? Not even Microsoft and Sony are getting exclusive 3rd party stuff, why should Nintendo be different?
It's not a big loss anyway... seriously in quite many years of gaming I've never played a game I found great from Ubisoft, some mildly good games but nothing more. Both EA and Activision are able to make better games.

lol ubisoft actually release some games on 3ds?? I don't recall any good ones.

I've only ever played 1 Ubisoft game properly - Beyond Good and Evil. Nothing else has ever looked worthwhile.

Nintendo needs higher profile partners on board.

For some reason i think that this time Ubisoft will really try hard on core games. We already know Ghost Recon Online, Killer Freaks and Assassin`s Creed are coming, which are already better than what they gave Wii.
But i think there might be something going on, because the only 3rd party games i see on Nintendo Selects are Ubisoft`s. Maybe Nintendo made some sort of deal with them...

Man for everyone downing UbiSoft they aren't really that bad of a publisher.

On GameCube I owned like 6 UbiSoft games during the years I owned GameCube. Now evidently I sold four of them and only kept two but their support was appreciated.

On Wii I bought two UbiSoft titles near launch. Red Steel was actually pretty good it wasn't anything mind blowing but the game was decent and held its own against a lot of the future FPS releases on Wii. As others mentioned Raving Rabbids while not the typical hardcore game was pretty good and served its purpose.

I agree most of what they brought to Wii and DS was utter shit. Their 3DS support was also less then stellar with ports and remakes and the original Ghost Recon game was so low budget it isn't funny.

But I must say some of my favorite IP come from UbiSoft. Rayman, FarCry, Ghost Recon, Driver, Prince Of Persia. Thats not including the other games that are massive and I am not the biggest fan of like Splinter Cell and Assassins Creed!

Personally I am looking forward to "Killer Freaks from outer space" the game looks and sounds pretty cool. I would love to see UbiSoft Montreal's games all come to WiiU in the future hopefully multiplatform. Beyond Good and Evil 2 is bound to be coming to WiiU.

In the end I am all for UbiSoft supporting WiiU if they don't let quality go down in exchange for quantity and quick sales. I want to see quality software and yah Just Dance is welcomed as well and some of the casual crap is also welcome. But UbiSoft just needs to keep quality in check this generation!

it may be a good collaboration!

Switch!!!

The question isn't whether Ubi is going to support Wii U, it's whether or not their support is going to turn into utter shit like it did with Wii and DS. They start the platform's life with promising but far from stellar games and ports and, despite how any of them perform, that supprot usually turns into a deluge of shovelware while all the "real" games go to every platform but Nintendo's. I can't envision at the moment why they wouldn't put their full support behind the Wii U since it can run all of their biggest titles, but every generation has given birth to a new excuse for 3rd parties to leave Nintendo platforms out in the cold.
