Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pre-ordershave overtaken those of Black Ops, according to analyst Atul Bagga of Lazard Capital Markets..

Gamespot reports Bagga bases his estimates on retail checks made at the end of last week, and puts Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders at 9 million.

That’s 70% more than Modern Warfare 2 had at the same launch period, and 55% over Black Ops’ efforts.

Modern Warfare 2 generated 22 million sales while Black Ops managed 25 million.

Modern Warfare 3 arrives on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 8, which is in fact todayfor a third of our audience, but as they’re too buy playing to read, let’s just go with tomorrow.

BS there is no way!

I know lots of people who are going to the mid night release and with talk of ditching school. So its a crazy game and the line for the mid night release already started since its only like three when 'i heard of it

Vgchartz says 6.5 million, which in itself is crazy enough, but 9 million is a bit over the top even for an estimate. But seriously though, the sales on this game could be unlike anything we have seen before, it could even outsell Mcdonalds happy meal or something tomorrow.

Can't wait to get my hands on the game in 1 hour.

lol its already the 2nd best selling game of the year after Pokemon Black and White.

pssh knaw. I call bullshit as well.the game would need like 12 million first week to make those estimates true.

It appears First Week will be gigantic so legs may be weaker then usual, however it will end easily out selling Black Ops.
