Out of curiosity, do you honestly think they hate the 360? because I've never considered that for things like Gust or that one Shmup company that seems to stick solely to 360. I've always assumed that they just found a niche and a fanbase that was profitable and they wanted to stick to it instead of trying to expand and perhaps losing money. Considering that most of their games sell small potatoes already and JRPGs on both consoles sell more on the PS3 it seems reasonable to think that they thought they couldn't get back their money from porting instead of them actively hating the console.

Hmmm... never thought of it that way. Hatred was a rather poor choice of word, so you may have a point. Dislike seems to fit the bill more, I'd wager. It's still very strange Nippon Ichi would ignore the X360 (on the largest market worldwide) after publicly stating they had several projects on the works with said console in mind, and then giving them the axe. All this while offering something for virtually everybody else. At least Cave (who reportedly has about 80 employees) is going iOS, Windows Phone and presumably the PSVita (despite rumors of how their relationship with SONY soured at the end of the PS2 cycle). They've stated on several occasions how cost-prohibitive it would be for them to develop for the specific CBEA that the PS3 uses. So it's not hatred, it's economics. Economics, mind you, in which M$ has been an extremely supportive and accomodating business partner of Cave since the beginning of their relationship.
On the other hand, NIS America announced a couple of years ago, alongside several other projects that mysteriously vanished, the release of Cross Edge Dash. They paraded it in front of us X360 fans, just so that we could get a whiff, or salivate over what was to come, and then, without even so much as an explanation (some NIS America staff apparently were unaware of the Cross Edge Dash cancellation), killed the project altogether. Since then, no single IP for the X360. Not a single one in it's six-year existence. So in closing, it might not be hatred, but it sure is not love. This time around, a little love might make them a lot more money.
