THANK GOD! System deactivation is my savior. There are 2 dead systems that my account is on that I thought I had lost forever.

Well, it must've been a problem for Sony to have done something like this, though. I'm guessing the info they got from this (if they can keep track of the actual gamesharing) was shared with the developers and they complained about it?

I'm a good little consumer, never shared my games. I paid for every last one of them. I was worried, however, because I've put my 3000 dollars worth of Rock band DLC on both of my own PS3's, and one friend's (for when I frequently visited him to have Rock Band parties). I Was worried that, if I got another PS3, i'd be that much closer. future releases will allow me to keep them on one PS3 at all times, and have one auxiliary, which I Can turn on or off at will.

But again, I don't game share, they've got thousands of dollars off me, so nyan.

3000 dollars worth of RB3 DLC? thats like 1500 songs! I'm jealous I only have like 80 dlc songs+rb1+rb2. RB3 online isusually dead compared to RB2 so if you ever want to paly online with me you should add me I play often with some friends. [psn: skeezer-92]

But yeah, at least we will now be able to recover lost systems, I've lost 2 PS3s to problems and called sony to deactivate them and they said they would but I'm not so sure that they did.

as someone who games shares ... sucks but honestly i was surprised sony every let me do it. time to tell my 2 leeching friends they are kicked off my account. oh wells, sucks more for them then for me.

Seems fair... that is, as long as you are allowed to remove consoles/PSPs from the list.

Otherwise it's just BS EA install limits in a different form.

Just so everyone is aware you could phone Sony and have them remove the dead systems from your profile/history. I had to do this because all my systems kept dying. They tried to make something of it saying they had no record of it, but i told them i took the systems directly to the refurb place. Can't imagine the amount of phone calls they will get now or when Vita/PS4 comes out.

I never game shared but i got a couple of friends that are gonna be pissed by this announcement.

I'm surprised they took this long to do it! With the VITA having an increased focus on digital downloads they really had no choice.....
