yeah I can understand why you weren't so psyched back then. The before trailers were showing the game playing slowly,( not using the dash button). But this vid (at 0:15) gives an idea how it would look like using it+ tonoki suit. (NOTE: there are some spoilers in  the middle)

An important part also is 7:13.

Yup, I just picked mine up a little while ago (thank you 24hr GEO! as the store sells it on release day at midnight). Almost finished through World 2 and the game is a blast!

I still have to wait a few hours as I'm taking my family to the Onomichi Betcha festival. I'll be free in the afternoon (probably) for some Mario goodness. :))
I wish I had a 24h GEO (or any other store that sells games) in my area.
