I have used all and I prefer Android for the freedom it grants. If the keyboard really is your biggest worry then just download and install a new keyboard and/or language pack. Not to mention you can always find spurs on the market to expand the Japanese support, like simeji.

I believe that all of the people who recommended it in this thread actually own the windows phone and know why its awesome.

I've owned all kinds of phones and I'd have a windows phone over Android any day. I just cant be bothered with android anymore. Even ice cream sandwich looks like a hack job copying everyone elses ideas and meshing them together without much logic or intuition. Its like half iOS, quarter widnows phone (people hub? hmm) and quarter webOS.

Andorid is a fine OS if that is what you are in to and decide to invest your time in to, but in no way is it more intuitive, faster or better suited for smartphone users than iOS or Windows Phone 7 out of the box.

Without wanting to argue about any of the info you're using, your entire premiss is that sales equal quality, which is wrong.

So basically you think any game that hasn't sold over 1.5-2 million within 1 year is a bad game? Sales do not equal quality. Any sensible person knows that.

Shadows of the Damned for example. One of the best games this gen in every way...yet where are the sales?

I've heard that's a pretty good game. Hopefully sometime I'll get to check it out.

Everything you said about Android is wrong. All of my media is in one place. I can look at pictures, watch videos or listen to music all from the same location. As for contacts, everything is integrated if you want it to be. The difference here is I have a choice to integrate facebook contacts with other contacts. It is as easy as clicking yes. All of the pictures update when people change them, email addresses are all stored along with all  the other info. I prefer to not sync them though because I don't like the pictures changing all the time. I do however sync with google so that all my contact info is stored remotly. That way if I decide to change roms or upgrade phones all my contact info is saved.

Really? So where did the widgets come from? The pull down task manager? Speach to text and turn by turn directions? Speach instructions? All on Android first. In fact, all of the recent additions to the IOS upgrade were on Android first.  Apple was first to market with the Iphone and is resposible for the current smartphone popularity. They have however as they always do, fallen behind the curve. As for hardware, Android based phones still have the best. They offer more Ram, faster processors, better screens and upgradable memory.

I used to do smart phone tech support in 2004 and 2005 and if you think smartphones began with Apple iphone, we have nothing to talk about...

Also, all those specs android phones have are nice, but a lot of them are necessary for the phones to be competitive and not sluggish since android is not as optimized as iOS and WP7.

I have and have used a Motorolla Milestone (Droid) and I fully know what Android is capable of. It was upgraded to 2.2, then rooted to 2.3 and all that jazz. Many hours were spent in trying to get it to work better and get it to do amazing tasks like open and edit pdf and word documents properly etc.

Don't get me wrong, Android is like a house which can be as nice as iOS and WP7, if you build it yourself.  Some people just can't be bothered to do this and want a seamless experience out of the box.

I'd say get what's most important to you.

If you use a Mac, iTunes, etc.. well, then iPhone probably integrates with your life better.

If XboxLive integration is an absolute must then probably the WM7 phone is your best friend.

If you use a lot of Google's services and want the best selection and latest hardware possible, then Android is the way to go.

Me? I choose Android as I hate Apple's forced monopoly on its end users and WM7 is still playing catch up in features/hardware options, though Mango does a lot for this as well as some of the newest rumored devices for the end of the year. Plus, I do use all of Google's services.
