This is actually not true. There are several reasons why people can commit violent crimes. For example desperation (e.g. robbing someone because you need money), or even love (e.g. crimes of passion). And I'm not sure if you know anything about the legal system, but motive is mandatory when deciding how to sentence someone. This is the case with basically every crime. This is the difference between 1st degree and 2nd degree murder for example. And it's the best way to decide how dangerous a criminal is.

ummm I seen that shit happens tons of times in high school mom and for less reason at that, hell I was bullied for less reason, kids at my school beat my ass because I was smarter than them, scrawny and couldn't properly defend myself "at the time"....and they didn't even get detention, let alone a news story and my parents pressing charges, matter of a fact, you know what my Dad told me, he said son that's what boys do...now stop being a pussy and go outside and play. Who the hell cares, teach your son how to fight and maybe this wont happen, and that's my advice to all kids that get bullied, and no your aren't exempt from this even if your gay

A reason could be that he'd get in trouble too. Modern rules at school forbid kids to fight back if they're attacked, esle they'll get suspended too (it's quite stupid actually).

Most schools in Ohio would have given him a two-week suspension (technically an expulsion, actually). Not sure why he got away with only a three-day.

No, when you harass someone and physically assault them you are not 'just a kid'. It's due to this type of mentality that nothing is really done about bullying. If you commit an illegal act, as this bully has commited, you should face harsh punishment (being expellled, and being sent to a juvenile facility seems like the minimum punishment allowable).


Of course when you attack someone or do anything illegal you should have legal consquences, but if it is regular bullying that is not handled by law enforcement such as calling names, etc. then I see no reason for juvenile hall. But you are right, any sort of physical abuse, should be treated as the law see's fit. Seniors should be even more worried, because they should be 18 and can go to real jail. I apologize if you feel I was saying that any type of bullying should just get a week slap on the hand at first. Even with my plan I would see there needs to be caution. Schools cannot just give someone a week for any name calling because kids always will argue and get in verbal confrontations at school, but if it is def. bullying in a verbal way then they should get a week then have it escalate.

The bully probably has a crush on him, but still that's horrible.

I'm glad he has a Mom to stick up for him.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
