Wow, the 3DS is doing awsome! The Japanese have definitely jumped on the 3DS train.

You've got to love this time of the year everything comes so much more interesting and fun. I cannot wait till we hit the peak boost. PS3 is going to clean up like there's no tomorrow.

well done 3ds and ps3 not bad with out any new releases.

If 3DS makes such jump becoz of new colours, just imagine what the PS3 will do in America and EMEA with the all new white and silver colours announced for next month!! It will be like PS2 numbers all over again!

3DS is a monster in Japan, contrary to WW trends.

PS3 almost back to pre-price cut levels, I'm quite disappointed. Anyway the holiday boost in Japan is usually from December to February. From what I understand Oct-Nov is about the slowest time of the year.

Anyway, Japan's weird, you see Wii doing 20k a week for a few weeks and then suddenly it drops to 10k and stays there. PS3 looked like it wouls stabilise at around 30 or at least 25k, and then this.

Not much else worth mentioning.

afaik late october -through november is a pretty slow time for jpn hardware sales, so I think its just the regular seasonal drop

In Japan sales seem to pick up in december and peak at new year.

77k 3DSes sold and highest ranked game for that platform is 3 versions of Nintendogs reaching 8k sales.

I was sure the game would have performed better than 3D Marios, but I would have never tought it could do it from the beginning with such a low userbase. I think half of NSMB sales is in the bag...
