I haven't played it yet, but some of those numbers do seem strangely low in comparison. Perhaps gaming reviews are becoming more analytical than before? Who knows. The game looks fantastic and I'm sure I'll have a blast regardless of the scores.

I'm talking about in general. Why exclude current gen systems to benefit your point?
But I must admit I did mis the HD console part so if you look at it from that point than Uncharted really is the only franchise to have ever done such high numbers like that before. LBP is pretty close though too.

Yeah well if you literally narrow it down to PS3 exclusive and 360 exclusive franchise and only taking the last two release it's the only one (since you disregard SMG and Mass Effect). Thing is I could narrow it down to Tomb Raiders with male leads and Uncharted would also be the only one :p

Or the Rockstar franchise GTA4 + Red Dead Redemption (DLC and that thing made by Australians don't count)
damn... by reading trough the first 3 pages of this thread, now i have to buy batman and uncharted... no... i am kidding... already made my decision before i come here... about meta... its crap... many GREAT games have fallen below 90 and i still bought and enjoin them. there is even, below 80, games worth every minute i spend with them. i only notice that meta exists when i see posts about it...

Yeah im talking about the HD Twins. Nintendo just rocks too much to be in the comparison ;). Out of Microsoft and Sony, the greatest exclusive franchise of this generation based on acclaim has to be Uncharted ^_^.
I don't understand. The game isn't out yet, the reviewers have played the game and you haven't. How do you know if it's getting the shaft or not .____., some people just befuddle me.

Uncharted: 88 + 96 + 93 = 277
Gears of War: 94 + 93 + 91 = 278
Unless you want to pull the 'Gears 1 is on pc' card.
Also:
