Quite good game! I need to play it more but at the moment it's being as good as the first hours of Ocarina of Time back in 1998. Let's see how does the game evolve as the player get advanced in the adventure.

A new one costs the equivalent of £190 and considering our currency is fucked, it's a lot more expensive than what £190 looks like for British people. Besides, playing it on Dolphin would allow me to juice up the graphics (1080p, anti-aliasing etc.). I mean, have you seen screen shots of it running on a PC?? The art design truly shines with all that power cleaning it up. |
Funny, even though the higher resolution was noticable, the emulator totally ruined the game's visual effects, most noticeably the "painting" background effect

Really? I haven't really looked a lot into it, but all bugs will likely be fixed soon after release. |
Not really. The thing about a lot of Nintendo games is that perfect emulation for them isn't really possible on non-native hardware without a lot of specialization; it's why every Virtual Console game essentially comes bundled with its own tiny emulation core, and why they never fixed things like the heat shimmer effect for Wind Waker on the Dolphin.

Given I am probably only half way through, it's a bit early to say.
I wasn't truly wowed until after the 2nd dungeon, unlike Windwaker which I was in awe of from the get go. That could be in part due to the internet though, as I have seen and read too much. In terms of level design, combat and puzzles SS is very likely going to top the others I've played. The boss battles have so far been excellent too.
Although I am still getting used to them, the first person view (for items or dowsing) just seems like it could have been done better with the IR pointer. Also swimming underwater takes a bit of getting used to as well.
Looks great as well, though I think they could have pushed the painty effect further. (then again that could put others off, Nintendo can't please both sides of the real vs. arty tribes at once) And certainly the main theme song, and a couple of others have been great. When I first started using the beetle I thought the speaker on my shiny new controller was iffy... The sound of the beetle flying comes out of the controller speaker, but it gets quieter as it flies away from Link... so when it's quiet I thought it was cutting out (one of my earliest Wii remote has a speaker that does that)

Thought this was awesome and I needed to share it

This is definitely the best Zelda i've ever played. Am i the only one who's arm is aching after playing for a bit. The combat is pretty challenging.

Unlucky
I have exams, but they start mid-January. I should have finished my first playthrough of this by then...
Fortunately, my brother also loves the game, so when he's playing I revise. The power of siblings!
Also, the game seems to just keep on getting better. I love the beetle, and the digging mitts are pretty cool too. The music is great and I'm starting some of the side-quests now also. However, looking at my collector's edition strategy guide briefly shows that I've barely even scratched the surface, and that there's many, many more hours of wonder yet to come. Of that I am gratful.

After the Ghirihim boss fight, yeah >.<
But I like a good challenge!
