Besides, playing it on Dolphin would allow me to juice up the graphics (1080p, anti-aliasing etc.). I mean, have you seen screen shots of it running on a PC?? The art design truly shines with all that power cleaning it up.

Funny, even though the higher resolution was noticable, the emulator totally ruined the game's visual effects, most noticeably the "painting" background effect

Really? I haven't really looked a lot into it, but all bugs will likely be fixed soon after release.

Not really. The thing about a lot of Nintendo games is that perfect emulation for them isn't really possible on non-native hardware without a lot of specialization; it's why every Virtual Console game essentially comes bundled with its own tiny emulation core, and why they never fixed things like the heat shimmer effect for Wind Waker on the Dolphin.
