Forums - Gaming - What games have you preordered for the next 2 months?

The only game I have pre-ordered is Halo: CEA because I got $10 off for doing so. I will be getting Batman:AC (after I beat Dues Ex), AC:Revelations, Kinect Sports 2, and maybe Saints Row 3.

Uncharted 3 Collectors  (like the stuff that comes with it ... game is going to kind of meh I think, but I'll give it a chance. I usually only get ps3 games when it is exclusives like this)

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (If I could only pick up one more game this year it would be this one. Really the only game I am looking forward to aside from Battlefield 3)

Halo CE Anniv (I actually enjoyed the first Halo quite a bit. The fact that this is value priced ... unlike ODST ... made it an easy buy)

Assassin's Creed Revelation (Part of me really wants this series to go away and never come back, but I enjoyed Brotherhood and all of the others, and I will give this a chance too)

Saints Row the Third Collectors (This is the first Saints Row game I will be picking up. I heard great things about the 2nd one and this just looks like good mindless fun)

Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword w/ Remote (This is a no-brainer, I have always loved Zelda series, and now I can get a 4th wii remote finally. I wish Nintendo would do more special editions like this)

Tekken Hybrid Collectors (Big Tekken fan. It is the only fighter series I can get into aside from Smash bros if that even counts)

Star Wars Old Republic Collectors (Last but not least ... comes out at a great time right towards the end of holiday rush so I should be off work enough to get started. I am glad this is finally getting released and I should have at least a month or so to get into it before school starts)

 

I got another 15-20 more games pre-ordered for next year already, but I work at Gamestop so preorder lists like this are not uncommon.

 

 

That's mighty impressive but how do you find time to play them.  Interesting to know that people preoder 15-20 games though. Hmm

There are some games that I don't get around to playing, but you have to remember that the vast majority of games nowadays (even if you go for all the achievements/trophies) really only take 10-15 hours ... maybe 20 for some. I usually don't just pound through games one at a time though. I find that variety really keeps a lot of games interesting. Take a game that is kind of bland like Rage ... mix things up by playing Rage for a bit then switch to CoD and then to another multiplayer game like Gears of War 3 and you will likely be a lot more interested in playing Rage just for the sake of variety ... at least that is how it works for me. Basically I get a lot of life out of games by playing 2-3 at once. Even if I don't finish a game I at least usually give it a playthrough.

There are certain games that I will binge out on without break (like Deus Ex most recently), but I tend to mix things up quite a bit.

The days of monster 40 + games preorder lists are soon to be gone ... at least at my store since we are being cut off to around 10 or so at a time. I probably wont' be back down to that number until this time next year though : ) .
