This is why I will never give up with Nintendo. Maybe I'm just another fanboy, but I had my reason. Its ok for me if nintendo Wii only give 2 or 3 great games in a year, because I still can play another great game from PS3, DS, PSP.
I'm not sure whether the fact that they toyed with dropping it is impressive (to show that they aren't pressured to shoehorn everything) or horrifying (that the long-awaited swordplay game would never have come to pass)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
The should have pissed everyone off and made it only work on the Gamecube and Classic Controllers. It doesn't matter what kind of controller it utilizes if it's a great game.

So long as the finished product works and is a good one, the internal steps taken to get there are interesting but for the most part are not truly consequential.

I realize I'm the except here, but the use of WM+ is the only reason I'm getting (and excited for) this title. Never been a Zelda fan (don't shoot me, it's allowed) but I've been waiting for a fully realized game using 1:1 swordplay since 2006! Yes, yes, Red Steel 2... Was a repetitive one trick pony, Zelda will far suppass it in every way I'm sure.
Wow, pretty sad to find out that Aonuma even needed to be pressured into using motion plus in the first place, considering the amount of hype Nintendo gave to this control, and acted like it was the "next step." This is what bugs me most about Nintendo right now (besides NOAs continued stubborness in releasing certain games locally). They push these hardware devices/peripherals, then fail to follow through and support them.

wow over dramitizing a situation much?

I don't think he's being overdramatic at all. If Nintendo made up their minds sooner, the game would be out right now and they could've been working on new projects. Things like this is what caused Skyward Sword to take 5 years to develop. There's no excuse for this when a multitude of franchises has the next installment released in 2 years.
They wanted to do it button based?
I am shocked.
