Forums - Gaming - Mass Effect 3 will have multiplayer element

I'm not the biggest fan of the series...but I think we should wait to see some gameplay footage before passing judgement...who knows maybe they have pulled something of the same level as ND did with UC2

Well we all kind of knew this was coming. In some ways, campaign co-op would be nice, but in many ways it will just ruin it. Mass Effect has always been about your personal Shepherd, and if there is somebody else there it kind of spoils it unless they are just literally a gun, but then what happens in the non-combat zones?

Naughty Dog had the same issue with Uncharted, whilst the actual gunplay would be fine with 2 players, 2 player exploration and platforming doesn't really work unless specifically designed around that, so that is what they did.

If, however, they just take the focus away from Shep, and maybe see some of his allies in a combat mission, and let you mess about with nice biotic powers or something... I think there is potential, but it has be entirely away from the main story, and have nothing to do with your Shep

*Facepalm* Bioware has really lost its touch

WTF is everyone's problem with them adding co-op into their game?

As long as the main story is going to be good and awesome like usual (which it will!) than there is no problem here!

By the looks of it the co-op part will be completely seperate from the main story.

All games should have multiplayer these days.

Damn people, wait until we see more info before drawing such conclusions. For all we know, which is nothing, the single-player could be better than ME2 & ME1 WITH a co-op mode.

Of course, I'm not saying this is necessarily a good idea, I'm just saying wait for more info. I'm sure the singleplayer will be great though.

It's not just based on this particular news. What I've seen hasn't excited me because they've almost completely turned it into an average 3rd person shooter. I'll still probably get it, but I was disappointed by ME2 and expect the same for ME3

But it's going to have more RPG aspects than ME2 did.

Coop should be fun.

awsome news i also hope for competitive MP, seriously. Bioware has never let me down so the more they put in the better. In my oppinion they mastered the single player in the last 10 years(never played DA2) so im excited to see what the can do with MP(even if its just co-op).

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

I have no problem with co-op missions, as long it's seperated from SP. I don't see how competitive multi-player would work. Imagine Adept spamming Singulair... LOL.

Thats sounds great i hope it has a Matchmaking co op mode if not still great news
