Why you ask questions if you already have your answers? The only way to undestand why the Wii is so hot is to play it. Try Wii Sports, Zelda TP, Mario Galaxy, Trauma Center, Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime 3 and Ghost Squad. If none of these games plays better with the Wiimote you just are not made for the Wii.

 We know, but Victor insists on talking about it and if it was like the Wiimote.  Eyetoy's fine for the games it has, but it would not be suitable as a standard controller of course.

As a PC gamer, I must say that gamepads absolutely suck for certain games in my humble opinion.   COD4 looks great, but I can't play it at all.  Two analog sticks to aim and walk, please...  I need a mouse and keyboard.  For whatever reason, the Wii controls don't take much at all for a PC person to master.  I may actually prefer the Wii controls to the mouse and keyboard. 

I don't understand, So much Sony Hate in this thread.

On-topic: I think it a case of right time, right price and right games.

Coming up with an new idea is easy. Perfecting it for the market is the hard part.

For example, the iPod in concept is quite simple. Other companies were making digital music players long before Apple. But Apple made the best product for the market.

I don't understand why you guys are seriously trying to answer him. The original post was understandable but you can tell from his later statements that he's an obvious troll and this is complete flamebait.

Just look at these comments:

"The Eyetoy is the shit!! and their still new games coming out for it."

"The controller still uses batteries."

Etc, I don't have the time to list them all, but its obvious that he's not exactly open minded in trying to understand the wii.
