I know the NHL is making more and more money each year (now over $3 billion) but I can't believe Bettman still has a job, this is his third fucking lockout. I know he isn't solely responsible (like retarded NHL fans think) but he really should go.

I doubt anyone blames Bettman completly there are also greedy owners and players involved as well. Looking up news on the issue does nothing, but make it seem like the whole season will be lost. Last lockout I remember half the stars on my team were lost due to the new rules and regulations. So I have no reason to expect much good out of it as a fan; I mean the salary cap is already in place and there are not likely to be as many rule changes as before. This time it seems only about money and not rules.

I am pretty sure this will force former Avs Captain Milan Hejduk to retire.

Hey, I have been watching and hoping for a deal since yesterday. If the players cannot except a 50/50 split over their old 57/43 deal I am feeling like they are being pretty greedy. Only the lowest paid guys would really be affected much by the change and the top paid guys are already multimillionaires.

Looks like the whole season will be lost. If they where serious about having a season they would not cancelled all the games in November before the month even started. I'm guessing they will cancel all games in December in a couple of weeks and the entire season a few days after that.
