Yeah, as much as Lindros energized our VERY BAD team at that point, the nucleus taht went to Quebec (and then Colorado) was able to bring Cups to the city, and Lindros was not. But, hell, its Philly, we know not to expect to win anything but fights and "Worst Fan" polls. Just remember not to wear your opposing fan gear, you will get jumped/stabbed/beaten/shot/raped and thats only by the grade school kids.

Twice the amount of blood

Nice final game for the Rangers. It was pretty tense to the end. The late disallowed goal was the right call I think as there was clearly goaltender interference. Would have been a beautiful play otherwise. No matter we got round two set.

Predictions? Kings and Devils both 6 game series.

I will announce the winners of the last rounds after I watch the Denver Nuggets play in game seven vs the Lakers. I will update depending on how that game goes. If Denver gets rocked I will update sooner.

West:

Coyotes in 6 over LA -> Smith will outplay Quick, and Vrbata will come alive with secondary scoring from Doan, Boedker and Hanzal.

East:

Devils in 6 over NYR -> NY limped in, barely beating Ottawa and also BARELY squeaking past Washington...both much weaker teams. But the Devils are playing great as of late and NY can only win if they find their regular season form.

Big win for my Blue Shirts tonight! Going to be an epic series as always against the Devils, and will remind everyone which rivalry is the biggest in the league.

My predictions for the Conference Finals:

NYR over the Debbies in 6... everyone's saying how the Rangers "struggled" through the playoffs so far and are lucky to have made it this far, but the fact is they played two tough, evenly matched teams with some great goaltending to boot. It took the Debbies OT in 7 games to dispatch arguably the weakest team to make the playoffs this year, the Florida Panthers, and it took them 5 games to beat a team without a goaltender. NYR are fully battle hardened and tested at this point, while the Devils have had their share of struggles on defense, and Marty isn't getting any younger... Lundqvist owns his ass.

LA Kings over Phoenix in 6... Kings knocked off the top 2 seeds in the west, and most of Phoenix's wins were in tight games in overtime against teams much weaker in defense than they were, so I don't see them squeaking by more than 2 games over the Kings.
