Big win for my Blue Shirts tonight! Going to be an epic series as always against the Devils, and will remind everyone which rivalry is the biggest in the league.
My predictions for the Conference Finals:
NYR over the Debbies in 6... everyone's saying how the Rangers "struggled" through the playoffs so far and are lucky to have made it this far, but the fact is they played two tough, evenly matched teams with some great goaltending to boot. It took the Debbies OT in 7 games to dispatch arguably the weakest team to make the playoffs this year, the Florida Panthers, and it took them 5 games to beat a team without a goaltender. NYR are fully battle hardened and tested at this point, while the Devils have had their share of struggles on defense, and Marty isn't getting any younger... Lundqvist owns his ass.
LA Kings over Phoenix in 6... Kings knocked off the top 2 seeds in the west, and most of Phoenix's wins were in tight games in overtime against teams much weaker in defense than they were, so I don't see them squeaking by more than 2 games over the Kings.
